About the Utah Jazz

Utah Jazz of the Northwest Division play their home games at the Vivint Smart Home Arena. On game night, the Vivint is electric. The cheering throng of Jazz supporters will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

The Jazz started in 1974 in New Orleans. Now, you know how they got their nickname. The franchise moved to Salt Lake City in 1979.

Although unsuccessful, the Jazz reached back-to-back NBA Finals in 1997 and 1998. Both times they were bested by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

The Jazz of that era was coach by Jerry Sloan and led by point guard John Stockton and power forward Karl Malone.
