About the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers play in Dodger Stadium. Lots of baseball fans don’t know this, but Dodger Stadium is the third oldest ballpark in the Majors.

The Dodgers started life in Brooklyn in 1884. While in Brooklyn, the team was affectionately called Dem Bums. They moved west before the start of the 1958 season. They moved into Dodger Stadium in 1962.

The Boys in Blue play in the National League West with their fierce rivals the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers and Giants have one of the best rivalries in all of sports.

Notable Dodgers over the decades include Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Pee Wee Reese, and Duke Snider.
