About the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim may have a long name; they may play in a stadium with a long name, Angel Stadium of Anaheim; but attending an Angels game on a nice summer day is one of the best sports experiences you can have in Southern California.

The Halos entered the majors in 1961. Back then, they were known as the Los Angeles Angels. Then, they changed it to the California Angels. Then, they changed it to the Anaheim Angels. In 2005, the franchise finally adopted their current name.

The Angels main rivals are the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, and Los Angeles Dodgers. Great Angels over the years include Rod Carew, Nolan Ryan, Chuck Finley, Tim Salmon, and Garret Anderson.
