You’ll feel the excitement of a Korn concert as soon as you step into the venue. By the time you make it to your seat—through the din of talking fans, black t-shirts reeking of cigarettes, and drinking half of your overpriced beverage—the excitement is nearly oppressive.

Then Korn takes the stage. The crowd roars and everyone leaps to their feet. Depending on the venue, the crowd is likely to remain on their feet for the entire show. They are also likely to sing along to every word.

Korn rocks. Their lead singer, Jonathan Davis, has an amazing vocal range that sounds better live than in the studio. Korn is likely to play a long set, but for their fans, it won’t be long enough.

Korn was founded in Bakersfield, California in 1993. They’ve sold more than 35 million albums and have won two Grammy Awards.

The band are progenitors of a sub-genre of heavy metal called nü-metal. Also, it’s common for the “r” in their name to appear backwards.

Korn’s current lineup is comprised of frontman Jonathan Davis, guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer, bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and guitarist Brian “Head” Welch. All four were founding members.

They are joined by drummer Ray Luzier. The band’s original drummer was David Silveria.

Korn released their debut studio-album in 1994 and their twelfth, The Serenity of Suffering, in 2016. The band’s most popular songs include "Right Now," "Coming Undone," "Shoots and Ladders," "Freak on a Leash," "Got the Life," "Blind," "Twist," "Got the Life," "Falling Away From Me," and "Here to Stay."
